James MacMillan Piano Concerto No. 2
“Henriksen is much more than a one-man department of surreal sounds. What makes him special is that he is able to create his own world in which his haunting, often ethereal sounds are put together in what seem like musical postcards from some far-off galaxy.” The Observer
“Particularly impressive were the sheer Lisztian bravura of MacGregor’s sweeps up the keyboard, her pummelling of the keys to produce dance-floor effects, and her lunges into the piano's innards to strum or pound with her right hand while maintaining rhythm with her left, but most remarkable was her unswerving commitment to revealing the diverse musical character of each piece” The Guardian
