Padmore sings Mahler

Due to family illness, Mark Padmore has had to withdraw from all dates of our  Padmore sings Mahler tour. 

We are pleased to announce one of the UK’s leading baritones, Roderick Williams has been confirmed as Mark Padmore’s replacement and the programme remains unchanged.

Roderick Williams has performed with orchestras throughout Europe, including all the BBC orchestras in the UK, and his many festival appearances include the BBC Proms, Edinburgh, Cheltenham and Aldeburgh. 

Roderick Williams encompasses a wide range of repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music, in the opera house, on the concert platform and in recital. Roderick enjoys a close association with Opera North and Scottish Opera, and has also worked for English National Opera and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.

Roderick Williams received acclaim for his recent performance with Britten Sinfonia and Sir Mark Elder of Berlioz’s L’enfance du Christ.
