Eriks Esenvalds Passion and Resurrection (UK première tour)

Following the 2008 sell-out tour of Messiah, Polyphony once again join Britten Sinfonia for Esenvalds’ powerful yet subtle Passion and Resurrection which tells the story of Christ’s suffering and rebirth. This Easter concert also features one of the best known of Bach’s works, the Double Violin Concerto and Arvo Pärt’s work for string orchestra and bell written to mourn the death of Benjamin Britten.

“Conducted with flourish and style by Stephen Layton… Polyphony showed why they're one of the finest choirs in the land.” Eastern Daily Press
