Concert Version of Prima Donna with Janis Kelly, plus Rufus Does Rufus with Britten Sinfonia conducted by Stephen Oremus
Wrapping up the shows for the grand finale of the week will be a concert version of Rufus’s critically acclaimed debut opera, Prima Donna, followed by Rufus performing some of his solo work.

Prima Donna will feature Stephen Oremus conducting a 70 strong Britten Sinfonia and opera singers Janis Kelly and Rebecca Bottone, who first performed with him at the Manchester International Festival in 2009. Prima Donna is the story of Régine Saint Laurent, an ageing opera singer trying to confront her past in order to regain her triumphant status as one of the world’s greatest sopranos.

The last show will finish with a flourish as Rufus takes centre stage to perform some his own inimitable songs – who knows what special guests may join him in the finale to a week of extraordinary performances?
