Stephen Oremus Musical Director

For the opening night of a week of performances at the Royal Opera House on Monday 18 July and Friday 22 July Rufus will perform his celebrated Judy Garland tribute concert Rufus Does Judy! Rufus will be re-united with conductor Stephen Oremus, who held the baton at the Palladium shows and is responsible for the music in the hit musical, Wicked.

Rufus Does Judy! features a 36 piece orchestra as Rufus performs his staging of Judy Garland’s 1961 comeback show at Carnegie Hall, described as the “greatest night in show business history”. The orchestra joining Rufus on these two nights is Britten Sinfonia, one of Europe’s most celebrated and innovative chamber orchestras.

The last time Rufus performed this show in the UK the Evening Standard said, 'Sensational….sell a relative to get a ticket.'
