Cambridge and Norwich 2012-13 series

Tickets are now on sale for our new season concerts in Cambridge and Norwich

Ranging across 700 years of music, the season includes diverse works from Beethoven, Perotin, John Adams, Britten, Purcell, Bach and Pēteris Vasks, alongside new works from Alissa Firsova, James MacMillan, Nico Muhly, Ēriks Ešenvalds and Gerald Barry.

Regular collaborators Pekka Kuusisto and Alina Ibragimova, pianist Angela Hewitt, tenor Mark Padmore and percussionist Colin Currie return throughout the season, and we welcome new Britten Sinfonia collaborators including leading mezzo-soprano Alice Coote.

Britten Sinfonia continues its committment to supporting new talent with the launch of OPUS 2013 - a project with Wigmore Hall offering unpublished composers the chance to receive a commission for a new work to be premiered as part of Britten Sinfonia's At Lunch series in 2013.

For family audiences Britten Sinfonia and presenter Hannah Conway bring popular children's book Mr Big to the Cambridge concert stage for our all-new interactive family concerts, featuring live illustrations from the author Ed Vere.

The season launches in October with Britten Sinfonia's 20th birthday concert showcasing the orchestra, present and future.
