Winner of Cambridge University Composers’ Workshop

Following a successful Composers' Workshop this weekend, we are delighted to announce that the winner of the commission, to be premiered during the At Lunch 3 tour next year is William Cole, a student of Clare College, and a keen choral singer, pianist and conductor alongisde his composing.

On Saturday, William's piece, Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen was workshopped by Britten Sinfonia musicians and acclaimed composer, John Woolrich gave feedback and advice. At the end of the intensive day, the panel selected William from five high-level participating composers.

We are very much looking forward to working with William over the coming year. Our next composition competition will be Opus 2014, details of which will follow in the coming months.
