Britten Sinfonia will be performing a concert at Thorpe Hall Hospice with 50% of the ticket sales being donated to the Sue Ryder Hospice appeal.
Set in the wonderful surroundings of Thorpe Hall, this open-air evening concert will delight and enthrall music lovers with spectacular performances filled with energy, innovation and excitement.
The concert opens with Grieg’s ever-popular Holberg Suite and then journeys by way of Elgar, Stravinsky, Bartok and Steve Reich through some of the most thrilling and evocative string music of the 20th century with Jacqueline Shave (Britten Sinfonia leader) and Miranda Dale (principal 2nd violin) performing Bach’s colourful and inventive Concerto for Two Violins.
