In celebration of the foundation of Ely's 1350th year, Britten Sinfonia joins Ely Cathedral Choir in a performance of Handel's Messiah.
2023 marks 1350 years since St Etheldreda first established a monastery in Ely in AD 673. As part of a year of celebrations of this remarkable Saxon Queen, Britten Sinfonia joins the Ely Cathedral Choir in performing Handel's timeless masterpiece on the theme of Christ’s birth, life, death and resurrection.
