A great introduction to live music for children aged 3-7, full of songs, actions and opportunities to join in.
Izzy Gizmo is the enchanting story of an intrepid young inventor who puts her talents to work to rescue a crow that can’t fly.
Based on Pip Jones’s best-selling children’s book with illustrations by Sara Ogilvie, this interactive family concert brings Izzy’s mechanical marvels and infectious creative spirit to life, with original music by Paul Rissman performed by musicians from Britten Sinfonia, featuring pots, pans, whistles and household items, as well as orchestral instruments.
This concert is presented by Britten Sinfonia in partnership with Music in the Round.
We’re delighted to have BSL interpretation from Angie Newman, recently seen live on BBC TV working with Horrible Histories at the BBC Proms.
FREE PRE-SHOW ACTIVITIES
Come early to take part in arts and crafts activities, and to try out instruments and find out more about learning to play.
These pre-performance sessions will take place at:
Peterborough: 10.15 – 11.00 and 12.45 – 13.30
Cambridge: 10.45 – 11.30 and 13.15 – 14.00

Booking conditions for Cambridge performances
- If you are unable to attend the concert you have booked, as long as you email info@brittensinfonia.com at least 24 hours before the event, you will be able to exchange your tickets for tickets to another Britten Sinfonia event being sold via Ticketsource.
- Please note that tickets will not be refunded unless the event is cancelled or the event is sold out.
