Max Richter
Recomposed: Vivaldi - The Four Seasons

In a unique double bill, Britten Sinfonia and Nevill Holt Festival present Max Richter's Vivaldi: The Four Seasons Recomposed and premiere three original orchestral works.

Britten Sinfonia leader Thomas Gould is the soloist and director in post-minimalist composer Max Richter's celebrated 21st-century reimagining of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

Britten Sinfonia has an especially close association with the piece, having given the concert premiere in 2012 and the first BBC Proms performance in a sold out Albert Hall in September 2023.

Britten Sinfonia will also present the world premiere of three original orchestral works that will be announced on 19 February.

“It’s wonderful for Britten Sinfonia to be returning to Nevill Holt in 2024. To be a creative partner in this new artistic venture – which falls within our East of England "patch" – is something we look forward to enormously.”
Meurig Bowen, CEO and Artistic Director of Britten Sinfonia
