COMPOSERS SELECTED FOR MAGNUM OPUS 2026
Britten Sinfonia is delighted to announce the three composers selected for 2026. They will write new works for chamber ensemble to be premiered on 17 April, 6pm at Milton Court Concert Hall, London. They will be supported by the 2026 Magnum Opus Programme Directors, Freya Waley-Cohen and Gavin Higgins, and will work towards writing new chamber concertos to be premiered by Britten Sinfonia later this autumn.
Amy Bryce is a British composer based in London whose deliberately playful scores produce music that is strikingly visual or theatrical.
Composer and cellist Toby Anderson works across experimental instrumental and electronic music.
Jonathan Woolgar draws from a wide range of musical experience to explore the relationship between the fragmentary and the symphonic, with a focus on the human dimensions of live performance on acoustic instruments.
