A flautist and harpist playing for a group of elderly people in a care home

We make full use of music's ability to bring people together and to by-pass verbal communication, helping people who are losing memories to re-connect with them. We know that in many cases this brings relief and hope for the future.

Musical Memories are relaxed workshops taking place in local venues and care homes, designed for elderly people living in isolation or with degenerative conditions such as Dementia and Parkinson’s. The workshops are interactive, involving a small group of musicians performing familiar repertoire from films, radio, and television series.

In each session there is plenty of fun, with musical introductions, sing-alongs and everyone invited to join the musicians for free tea and cake after the performance.
