THETFORD MUSIC CAFÉ
Come and join musicians from Britten Sinfonia and Thetford Academy for a series of fun, creative music sessions – open to everyone in the Thetford community
Thetford Music Café is an exciting new initiative bringing people together to listen, sing, share stories, and create brand-new music as a group. No musical experience needed – just come along and take part!
The workshops culminate in a Community Showcase at Thetford Academy on Wednesday 12 November at 11:30am (arrive from 11:00).
The project launched with a relaxed coffee concert on Monday 29 September, featuring star pianist Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, Britten Sinfonia musicians, and young people from Thetford Academy.
Following the concert, you can join free creative music-making workshops led by violinist Caroline Speca, with musicians from Britten Sinfonia and pupils from Thetford Academy. Choose whichever time suits you best – morning sessions at Thetford Library or afternoon sessions at Thetford Academy. You don’t need to attend every week, and everyone is welcome.

A chance for workshop participants to share the music they’ve created alongside a Britten Sinfonia ensemble. Friends, family, and the wider community are warmly invited to join this celebratory event.

Visitor parking is available at the school. Please use the main car park on the right-hand side past the school. Spaces in the smaller car park at the front are reserved for visitors with access needs.
Thetford Library
The nearest public car park is located on School Lane.
