Tiny Magic Orchestra is a chamber concert designed specifically for school halls or village schools with limited access to live performances.

Presented by Charly Jolly along with two musicians from Britten Sinfonia, Tiny Magic Orchestra immerses children in a vibrant musical adventure, using an innovative setup that combines live performance and creative storytelling.

Through this engaging experience, children explore different cultures, environments, and even outer space, all while learning about the power of music and its ability to transport them to new worlds.

Suitable for EYFS, KS1, and KS2, the performance is 50 minutes long and will take children on a magical musical journey, featuring a wide range of music by women and global majority composers, and a portable theatrical set.

How much does it cost?

Tiny Magic Orchestra was developed as a cost-effective solution for schools looking to introduce their children to live music.

The cost of a performance is £250. If your school is able to pay the full amount, we truly appreciate it as it helps support our work across a full school's tour. If you are in a school with a high pupil premium, do get in touch as we can find a way to reduce or subsidise costs via our partners, music hubs and further grants.

The performances suit around 100 children per session. The 50-minute performance, featuring a presenter and two musicians, can be delivered up to four times in one location or in multiple nearby schools on the same day. Each performance is presented by workshop leader, Charly Jolly and two Britten Sinfonia musicians.

Thanks to the generous support of our funders, we are able to offer performances in the following districts for a subsidised rate of £200:

  • Peterborough
  • Fenland District
  • West Norfolk
  • Breckland
