Britten Sinfonia is excited to announce the eight composers selected for Opus 1, 2024. The selected composers will write new works for a trio of either oboe, cello and percussion, or piccolo, trombone and harp. Across the summer, the composers will take part in workshops, coaching, and professional recording sessions, and have their works premiered in a concert on 21st September at the Painted Church, Cambridge. This year, the composers will be supported mentored by Programme Directors Raymond Yiu and Cheryl Frances-Hoad.
